About 2 years ago I got some Dobinson shocks on closeout from a place in Texas. The original shocks on my Land Rover were getting soft, and it was time to replace them. I wanted something better than the original equipment (which eliminated most of the US domestic variety!) I saw the Dobinson's, did some research, and when I put them on the Rover, WOW, what a difference! I love them!

I had also (earlier) replaced the original equipment steering damper with an Old Man Emu unit, but was honestly not pleased with the performance. The steering still felt too soft; maybe a "4" on a 1-10 scale of resistance. Last year, I contacted the Dobinson staff directly via e-mail, about getting a replacement steering damper. Your staff sent me a unit which after installation, put a big smile on my face. Brilliant. On the 1-10 scale of resistance, it is about an "8." A perfect balance.

I have spoken highly of Dobinson's to my friends in the Miami Valley Land Rover Society, here in Ohio. I had also sent some information to someone on your staff about getting some vendors here in the US. Dobinson bits are impossible to find in the States, and that is truly unfortunate.

I check your website from time to time, just to "stay in touch." I wish all of you the best. Your staff has been very courteous and responsive (via e-mail) regarding my needs, shipping, etc. I feel as though they are my Australian friends! ☺

Dobinsons Springs - through K. & S. Repair Centre at Theodore - built me a replacement set of springs for my caravan. I am very grateful to the efficient and speedy way in which the job was performed and returned to me at Theodore. I had visions of being stuck there for weeks trying to get new springs. They fitted perfectly and I am now back on the road. Again many thanks.

I have installed the new leaves and it all looks good. The back doesn't flex that much but I think that's because there is no weight in there. It seems to keep it pretty stable on the road (always a good thing). The front flexes really good and the ride is 100% [over] the old springs. All in all I am very happy with how it turned out.

I would like to thank you for all your help and time getting my springs just right. I am very happy with my dealings with Dobinsons (products and service) and all your help was greatly appreciated. I will be letting everyone know how impressed I am.
